UNLOCKING THE TREASURES OF OUR HEBRAIC ROOTS

     Our connection to Abraham is one of the very reasons why Jesus died for our sins and redeemed us with His precious blood. Galatians 3:14 is very specific that Jesus redeemed us from the Curse of the Law, “so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles.”

     However, to be honest, we do not see this as a reality in the lives of many Gentile Christians. We normally look at the Jews with a little bit of envy, remarking how blessed they really are. Nevertheless, this should not be the case, because the work of our Savior has placed us at equal bearing with the physical descendants of Abraham. We, too, are his descendants through his Seed – Yeshua or Jesus. The prime reason why the blessing is not being realized in our lives is due to our IGNORANCE.  Ignorance pays a great toll on God’s people (Hosea 4:6). We become its victims because we choose to IGNORE the understanding of our Hebraic roots. We become “ignorant” by ignoring something we refuse to see or hear (the word “ignorance” takes its root from the word “ignore”). Thus, let us learn the truth of our Abrahamic connection not only by head, but by heart. Let us allow this truth to sink deep down in us as treasure that must be unlocked, so that we will find its wonderful and magnificent riches that God meant for us in Christ.
